Rose Alice has been Dj'ing since 2004 and has won many fans with her soulful blend of house, funk and electronica. Her innate ability to access a crowd means her tunes never miss a beat. She creates a vibe, upbeat and joyous, with infectious beats and smooth groove. She is a consummate professional, performing just what the audience needs, with grace and style. She brings a unique and soulful sound to any occasion.
A regular DJ on the Auckland music scene, she is currently holding down residencies at Dr Rudi's, Saint Alice, Bedford Soda and Liquor, Ebisu, Fukuko. Also playing at The Culpeper, The Lula's Inn, and Soul Bar, (previously La Zeppa, Northern Steamship, Everybody's, The Commons, Imperial Lane, Aura, Golden Dawn, Khuja Lounge, Rakino's, Crow Bar and Malt Bar)
Rose Alice has performed at the infamous NZ Soul Alldayer parties, playing classic funk and soul vinyl from her extensive record collection, supported MoFunk the DJ (Ibiza), Nathan Haines, performed at the ASB Tennis open, and plays the lunchtime soundtrack at Takutai Square in Britomart on Fridays with the Auckland Foodtruck Collective.
From a singer/songwriter background, she performed on the critically acclaimed 'After 'Our's album Odyssey, singing 'Day After Day'. She was also a member of Auckland's original funk band, Tangent and The Merc's. She also performed as a backing vocalist in the Nathan Haines band at Splore festival 2010.
Rose Alice is very experienced in radio, having hosted in the early years of George Fm, later, KFM ( Sister Re; Fresh Show ), and currently a monthly slot on Base Fm as part of the Mixed Business Crew.
